It’s Always the Hands That – Call for Images of Hands
Hong-Gah Museum will launch the exhibition “It’s Always the Hands that” this summer, curated by LEE Chia-Lin in collaboration with the Curator Incubator Program @ Museum pby the NCAF. The participating artists are currently working intensively on their new works. Among them, artist LI Ning-Jyun’s new work responds is seeking audience collaboration:

Different fields and professions leave distinct marks on the hands—scars, calluses, and traces shaped by years of labor and specific tasks. Artist LI Ning-Jyun seeks to collect images of hands from professionals across various industries today. Through artistic transformation, Sketching Hand Features aims to offer new ways of reading and interpreting the traces left on our hands.

If you have ever observed the traces work leaves on hands, you are welcome to share any recorded images of “hands.” The artist will use the collected images as creative materials and continue his previous Croquis Demo series with a new work, Sketching Hand Features (working title).
