Organized by Taiwanese Yueqin Folk Song Association and combined with the ample cultural resources of Beitou district, Taiwan Yueqin Folk Song Festival not only presents a series of splendid events annually, but also invites indie artists to paint Yueqins, so that we may fully appreciate Yueqin’s dynamic and quiescent beauty. Hong-Gah Museum collaborates with Taiwanese Yueqin Folk Song Association, and invites the artists participating in Yueqin painting activity to display other brilliant works. This year, the invited Yueqing painting artists are from Taiwan Curio Art Association for Youth & Adults with Autism and Learning Disabilities. Located in Guandu, Taiwan Curio Art Association for Youth & Adults with Autism and Learning Disabilities was founded in 2016 by Director Cheng-Sheng LIN and professionals invited from a varies of filed. With joint efforts, the Association supports youth with Autism to create and sustain themselves in the arena of painting at which they excel. Hence, they may express the hidden yet profound feelings beyond description through curves and colors, while learning in practice and enriching their lives.
The artworks exhibited this year are diverse in styles. The distinctive tones, from vivid color stacking with strong touch to delicate depiction with elegant temperament, express the quality and character unique to their own. As far as Taiwan Curio Art Association for Youth & Adults with Autism and Learning Disabilities’ concerned, guiding these kids to a world of colors, lines, and shapes requires a will to go on relentlessly, patient company and constant inspiration, so as to accumulate all these fabulous results. Let us appreciate these extraordinary artists as well as their acute intuition and exceptional interpretation via paintings.
