Rekindling Imaginability Beneath the Surface — Hung Tzu-Ni Solo Exhibition

A near-silence of slowness, moving along the trajectory,
yielding texture, drawing membrane,
expanding along the edge, shuttling from cornea to eardrum.
3.1415 of Pi was slited.
Borrowing a bit of light from you, irradiating in time.
The inner and facade of the slope, folding the vision of space.
Maybe not going this way?
Through the hard shell to put them all away,
sinking here and there, turning into scattered dust and particles.
Lightly settling.

The exhibition “Rekindling Imaginability Beneath the Surface”, as a membrane forming, perhaps a progressive excitation to imagine.
A Shuttle linearly in the inside and outside of the surface, so to speak the transition in light/sound wave. The X,Y,Z, as three dimensions each absorbing materials in its axis, impact mutually, shuttle here and there. Occasionally get lost or into the wrong way, then hallucination evokes, maybe confusion comes, too. Eventually penetrate beneath the surface.
In this exhibition, artist Hung Tzu-Ni starts from the perception and measures the subtle differences of audio-visual experience in the environment, by a poetic methodology, a dynamic is carried out on the space, the possibility of resonance and synesthesia is provided when transitioning in/out the surface.
|Hung Tzu-Ni|
Space and sound, sound and body, body and machine, machine and ritual, ritual and poetry, poetry and space.
In a social landscape filled to the brim with busy work, Hung Tzu-Ni seeks to create a setting or an environment where a listener or viewer might enter into a dream state, momentarily isolated from the outer world, and in that space be able to more intensely perceive one’s frame of mind and body.
Her installations explore the reciprocal relation formed between light as it is constructed and sound as it is embodied in a space, as well as the environments where they are interactively engaged.
